There hasn't been much downward movement in Intel price levels since our last update, but at least we're not seeing the same kind of price increases we found in the AMD charts. Overall, this is remarkably stable week for Intel Celeron and Pentium 4 prices, with the vast majority holding exactly where they've been for weeks.
As we quickly learned from this week's AMD CPU chart, there are far worse things than yet another week of stable prices. The worst thing about the AMD news is that the price spikes hit the most popular and economical Athlon 64 models, and really hurt the entry-level and mid-range buyers more than anyone else. But putting aside the handful of AMD price increases, the majority of processors tracked in the guide are holding steady in price for yet another week.
