There is no more in the way of price activity in the Intel processor chart than we saw in the AMD section of the guide, and the level of stability is amazing. Very few prices changed at all, and those that did were usually only by a few dollars, with the largest cut being a $7 drop to the 2.66 GHz Celeron 330. But we do get some interesting news on the processor front, with the chart debut of the Pentium 840 Extreme Edition dual core model.
While the weather's been warming up across much of the country, the prices in our guide have yet to follow in suit. But as both AMD and Intel camps try to outdo each other with newer dual core solutions, we're hoping to see older Athlon 64 and Pentium 4 processors moving down the price list in the very near future.
