This week's Intel chart bucks the past trends and actually contains a handful of significant price drops. Of course, with the exception of the $43 cut to the price of a Pentium 4 670 (3.8 GHz), these drops are restricted to the Pentium D processors that debuted in last week's edition. But any price cutting news is good news where Intel is concerned, and we hope to see this trend continue in the coming weeks.
It's nice to be able to report price drops across both of the major sections of the guide, with some deals to be found both in the Intel and AMD charts. And while most prices are still holding steady, we're hopeful that these scattered drops are harbingers of good things to come.
