As with the AMD price list, Intel Pentium 4 and Celeron processors are holding far more steady in this week's guide than they did in the wild ride we had last week. We do see one significant change, a $19 drop in the price of the 3.46GHz Pentium 4 Extreme, and although overall prices are showing consistent, if nominal, drops, it has been a slow week in terms of significant Intel price cuts.
Across both major sections of the guide, we see overall price levels settling back down after a moderately exciting week that was followed by an immoderately exciting one. It was inevitable, of course, that things would eventually get back to normal, especially after a week of multiple $100+ price cuts. But hopefully we won't have quite so long a dry spell, this time, as we wait for the next session of across-the-board CPU price cuts.
