As in the AMD charts, a $19 drop keeps this week's Intel section of the guide from being completely devoid of significant price movement. Here, it hits on the price of the 3.46GHz Pentium 4 Extreme Edition - not exactly a value processor to begin with - which falls to its new price of $963. There were also a few noticeable price increases to contend with at the high-end of the list, but the majority of the Intel chart is woefully stagnant.
Two $19 drops, one in each of the major sections of the guide, are as much excitement (if you can call it that) as you'll find in this week's CPU guide. Unfortunately, overall CPU prices continue to stagnate, with significant price decreases remaining few and far between. But hopefully this last quarter of the year will be more eventful, price-wise, than the third quarter was.
