There are only two price drops to be found in this week's Intel charts, and neither of these registered too high on the scale. The Pentium 4 530J received a $6 cut, while Pentium 4 630 fell by $1, and that was it for the week. The rest of the Celeron and Intel processors are mostly holding exactly where they've been priced for weeks, with the only other exceptions being those (like the Celeron D 326) that have inched upwards in price.
Across both the AMD and Intel sections of the guide, price drops have become something of a rare find. Only a few processors have dropped in price in the past weeks, and they seem to be getting fewer and fewer as time goes by. How much longer this stable pricing trend will continue is anyone's guess, but we're hoping for a break sometime soon.
