While we don't see quite as many, nor quite as big, price cuts in this week's Intel charts as we saw in the AMD section of the guide, and while the biggest Intel price change was, unfortunately, a $40 price increase, we nonetheless do have a few significant price drops to report. Surprisingly, the Intel Pentium D line remained static in the face of significant Athlon 64 X2 price drops, but if history is any guide, this should change in the near future, if only to combat the downward price movement of these competitive AMD processors.
We're happy to report that this week's CPU Price guide contains some treats to go along with whatever tricks the coming Halloween weekend may bring. But the real treat would be finding out that even more price drops, along the lines of what we mostly saw in the AMD section of the guide, will be waiting for us when it comes time for next week's edition.
