This week's Intel processor charts are every bit as devoid of price drops as the AMD section of the guide was. The only news, in fact, is that the 3.2GHz Celeron D 350 has finally made its way onto the chart, at a debut price of $137. The introduction of the Pentium D 900 series might shake up prices somewhat, but we'll have to wait at least one more week for these to reach mass-market levels.
We wish we could report an end to the streak of stagnant prices that has plagued the CPU price guide for weeks (if not months) now, but we can't. Across both the AMD and Intel sections of the guide, prices keep right on holding as steady as have for quite a while. The only hope seems to be with new processor models from both AMD and Intel, which may help drive prices on existing models a bit lower.
