Intel prices remain relatively sedate in this week's guide, though a few modest drops on a couple of already-modestly priced Celeron processors do help keep things positive. While it's not going to stop any presses, for example, seeing the 2.8GHz Celeron D 335 drop by $11 to its current price of $71 might just be enough to help an almost-committed buyer to make that leap. The Pentium D 900 series also received nominal cuts across the board, making these new processors a bit more affordable.
Overall price drops in this week's guide are so few and far between as to seem, at times, almost non-existent. Let's just say that when the main desktop activity takes place in the Celeron line, there's not much going on. But while none of the prices fell by enough to stir much excitement, a few small-to-modest drops are nonetheless buried amidst the rubble and may seem enough like gems to uncertain buyers who've been sitting on the fence.
