Just as we saw in the AMD section of the guide, the Intel prices we track seem to be frozen in time, with most at exactly the same level we saw in last week's edition. Those few that dropped, such as a couple of Pentium D 800 and 900 series processors, fell by amounts far too modest to arouse much interest, let alone excitement. There were also a few price increases to contend with, but as with the price cuts, these were nominal and stayed below the $10 level.
If you were hoping that this week's guide would break the recent streak of ho-hum prices we've been seeing of late, then you're bound to be disappointed. Once again, we have little to report in the way of price drops in this, the first week of Spring. But we remain hopeful that as the weather warms up, so too will future editions of the Weekly CPU Price Guide.
