Echoing what we saw in the AMD charts, only two of the Intel processors we've been tracking dropped from last week's price. And while the 3.46 GHz Pentium 955 Extreme Edition fell by $25, this is not much more significant a drop than the $2 cut to the 2.8 GHz Celeron D 335, when you consider the fact that the Pentium 955 EE is still priced at a whopping $1020.
This week's CPU price guide is about as uneventful an edition as we've seen in quite a while, and the last time we saw so many zeroes was at a Star Wars convention. Throughout the entire guide, only five processors dropped in price at all and only two fell by more than a few dollars, leaving it unlikely that many readers will be rushing out to make any CPU purchases based on anything they see in this week's edition of the guide.
