A few of the processors tracked in our Intel section of the guide did actually drop by modest-to-significant amounts, with the 2.8 GHz Pentium D 820 falling by $20 and the Celeron D 330 and Pentium 4-3.2E receiving price cuts of $11 and $10, respectively, but this was the exception to the rule. The overwhelming majority of the CPU models we track are holding steady in price for at least another week. But given how completely devoid of price cuts the AMD charts were, we'll take what we can get in terms of Intel price activity, especially as it concerns dual core processors.
A handful of scattered price drops in the Intel section of this week's CPU price guide are all we have to report, and this is especially solemn news on a week that the AMD section of the guide is conspicuously missing downward price movement of any kind. In all, it's been a pretty slow seven days for both the AMD and Intel processors we're tracking prices for in this weekly guide.
