For the first time in quite a while, we have some extremely nice Intel price drops to report. The largest of which is a whopping $307 sliced off last week's price of the 3.4 GHz Pentium D 950, with a few of the other Pentium D 900-series experiencing similar drops. And while the rest of the Intel charts are relatively sedate, those processors that fell in price, did so by enough to make this a very good week for Intel buyers, especially anyone eyeing a new dual core system.
If you're expecting us to once again tell you that we have little to report, then get ready to be pleasantly surprised. While most of the processors tracked in the guide are, indeed, holding steady, we have Intel to thank for a scheduled round of Pentium D 900 series price cuts. These price drops were significant, some of which fell by three-digit amounts, making this the most eventful guide we've had in quite a while.
