Unfortunately, this week's Intel chart lacks even a couple of the scattered price drops that kept last week's guide somewhat interesting. While there was no significant overall activity, Intel did keep the pressure on their Pentium D 900 series prices, with some nominal drops. This was the only area of consistent price drops, and although there were a few random cuts to some Celeron D models, no Intel processor fell by more than $4.
This week's guide is about as devoid of price drops as we've seen in quite a while. In fact, there isn't a single significant price anywhere to be found in this issue, making it even less eventful than last week's was. But hopefully things will pick up in the coming weeks, especially as the Intel Core 2 Duo release date approaches and AMD's rumored Athlon 64 X2 price drops begin heating up the charts.
