A recent trend continues in the Intel processor charts, where prices only get more and more stagnant. This week's biggest drops, in fact, amount to only $4 (hitting a couple of Core 2 Duo models and a Celeron D), with most other CPU prices holding steady or moving upwards. The news doesn't get better from there, as the biggest individual change was a $17 increase in the price of the Intel XEON 3.6GHz.
It has been another slow week for the AMD and Intel processors we track in this guide, and overall prices continue to stagnate for another consecutive week. As we move past Thanksgiving and into the "official" start of the holiday shopping season, though, we are hopeful that some downward price movement might be forthcoming from the two principal CPU players.
