Alas, we have no notable price drops to report in this week's Intel charts, with most holding right where they have been for weeks and none dropping by more than $5. Last week's price movement in the Athlon 64 X2 and FX lines did nothing to break Intel out of their doldrums, and Core 2 Duo and Quad price levels remain remarkably stable. But considering some of the upward price movement in the AMD charts, we suppose it could be much worse.
By and large, the CPU prices we track in this guide are stagnant, especially on the desktop side, with few listings experiencing any downward movement and fewer still dropping by enough to draw much buyer attention. However, you can still get an awful lot of processing power for your buck, these days, so it's hard to complain too much about current market prices.
