As in the AMD charts, we see two noteworthy price drops in the Intel section of the guide, and these also affect two different processor lines. The 3.4 GHz Pentium D 950 fell $25 from last week's price, and the 2.4 GHz Core 2 Quad Q6600 dropped by $10. But the rest of Intel prices also mimic the AMD charts in that these are pretty much devoid of significant price changes.
This week's CPU prices are somewhat more sedate than what we saw in the last edition of the guide. A couple of moderate price drops did help out, especially that the majority hit the Athlon 64 X2/FX and Core 2 Quad lines, and kept things somewhat interesting. Hopefully the coming weeks will see Intel picking up the slack and finally answering the significant price decreases that AMD laid out through the early part of 2007.
