Intel Comments
This week's Intel prices mirror what we saw in the AMD section of the guide, with a single two-digit drop (the XEON 5140 is down $12 down from last week's tracked price) providing the only real excitement. There were a few much smaller drops found scattered in the Intel chart, but it is remarkably stable, especially in the area of Core 2 Duo, Quad and Extreme processor listings.
General Comments
Once again, it's been an uneventful week for CPU prices, with few processors dropping at all and only two (one from each camp) falling by enough to make anyone take notice. The overwhelming majority of AMD and Intel CPU prices we track are holding right where they have been for weeks, with a few even inching upwards.
