Intel prices, we're sorry to say, are no more exciting than what we saw in the AMD sections of the guide. Here, as there, only a few prices dropped at all and none fell by more than the $8 drop we see in the tracked price of the 2.66 GHz XEON 5355. There was some movement in the Core 2 range, but it was a matter of give-and-take, and while the Core 2 Quad Q6600 dropped by $5, the Core 2 Extreme QX6700 increased by $8.
Alas, it is another slow week for CPU prices, with most AMD and Intel prices holding steady and none dropping by more than single-digit amounts. But at least we can still say that consumers are getting a whole lot of processing power for their buying dollars as we wait for the next round of significant price drops to come our way.
