There is only slightly more downward movement in the Intel charts than what we saw in the AMD sections, with only three prices falling at all and only one, the 3.0 GHz Core 2 Extreme QX6850, (barely) reaching double digits. The only other price drop of note was $5 off the 2.4 GHz Core 2 Duo E6600, while the majority of the Intel CPU prices we track, however, are holding right where they've been.
The good news is that last week's upward price movements don't seem to have been the start of a trend. But the bad news is that we don't have much in the way of downward movement to report, either. By and large, the price of AMD and Intel processors continues to hold steady, with only a few models dropping at all and none dropping by very much. Hopefully, the new year and some new product introductions will change that and give us some much-needed chart activity.
