Alas, this week's Intel CPU prices are holding every bit as steady as their AMD counterparts, but without any significant price spikes. Only two of the processors we track fell at all, and those were XEON 5345 and 5355 models, which only dropped by $1 and $2, respectively. The Core 2 processor selection is remarkably stable, and the only notable price shift is a $5 jump that hit the 3.0 GHz Core 2 Duo E6850.
For yet another consecutive week, the overwhelming majority of the prices we track in this guide have continued to hold steady. And until we see some new products start making their ways into the market, such as the much-hyped Intel 45nm dual and quad core assault, we might not be seeing much in the way of significant price drops.
