Unfortunately, the only double-digit price change in this week's Intel charts is an $11 increase in the tracked price of the 2.13 GHz Core 2 Duo E6400. There were a few smaller price drops, and some of these actually hit processors in the sub-$300 range like the Core 2 Duo E6750 (-$6), Core 2 Duo E6850 (-$5) and Core 2 Duo E8400 (-$5). We also added some new Intel processors, with the 2.5 GHz Core 2 Quad Q9300 Yorkfield being the most prominent.
CPU price drops, unfortunately, remain few and far between in this week's guide, with the majority of the tracked AMD and Intel prices continuing to hold steady. But a handful of processor debuts, scattered throughout the guide, should help keep things interesting as we wait for more new models to appear and the resultant downward pressure on existing CPUs and prices.
