As in the AMD sections of the guide, the only Intel price change we have to report is a $5 drop, this time hitting the 3.16 GHz Core 2 Duo E8500. Even worse, the biggest price change in this week's guide is a $25 increase in the tracked price of the 3.0 GHz Core 2 Extreme QX6850. There were a few other small price jumps on the Core 2 Duo E8200 and E8400 45nm Wolfdale processors, but otherwise it was a very stable week in the Intel processor chart.
Unfortunately, this week's CPU price guide isn't any more exciting than the last one, with only a pair of small drops to report; one from each camp. But as recently released products become more readily available, these have been slowly making their way onto our charts, which should help to keep things interesting for prospective buyers.
