While we have a few more price drops in this week's Intel charts than we found in the AMD section of the guide, none of these are big enough to stir up much in the way of excitement. The largest Intel price drop was only $6, coming in on the tracked price of the 3.0 GHz XEON E3110, and this was followed up by a trio of $5 cuts to the Core 2 Duo E8200 and Core 2 Quad Q6600 & Q9300 processors. Unfortunately, the biggest price change was a $14 increase in the price of the 2.13 GHz Core 2 Duo E6420.
Our hopes that last week's handful of noteworthy price drops would lead to more of the same have gone unrealized. The overwhelming majority of the AMD and Intel CPU prices we track are holding steady and the few price drops we see are simply too small to merit much attention.
