The good news is that we have a double-digit price drop to report in this week's Intel charts. The bad news is that it's only a $10 drop, which came in on the tracked price of the 2.4 GHz Core 2 Quad Q6600, and is the only Intel CPU price that changed at all since last week's guide.
If you thought last week's prices were stagnant, just wait until you see this week's charts. The pricing stability in the AMD and Intel charts is almost eerie, especially in the mainstream Core 2 Duo/Quad and Phenom areas. We did have one double-digit price drop, but that modest decrease (to a last-generation 65nm processor) isn't nearly enough to stir much (if any) excitement.
