Intel Comments

Unfortunately, the biggest Intel price change this week is a $17 increase in the tracked price of the 3.2 GHz Core 2 Extreme QX9770. But thankfully, this was the only price jump in the chart, with most of the processors continuing to hold steady. But we do have a couple of double-digit drops, at least, including a $14 decrease in the price of the 3.0 GHz Core 2 Duo E6850 and a $10 cut to the 2.5 GHz Core 2 Quad Q9300.

General Comments

As in recent weeks, the overwhelming majority of AMD and Intel CPU prices we track continue to hold steady, with a handful of mostly insignificant price drops scattered throughout the guide. But a few modest processor deals, though few in number, can be found hiding amidst the otherwise stagnant pricing.
