Intel Comments
The good news is that this week's Intel charts include a $38 price drop, which came in on the tracked price of the 3.0 GHz Core 2 Extreme QX6850. The bad news, however, is that the only other price changes to be found in this section of the guide are four price increases , including a $15 spike to the 2.66 GHz Core 2 Duo E6750. The remainder of the Intel chart was seemingly frozen in place.
General Comments
The overall trend in this week's CPU guide show prices holding as steady as we've seen in a while, with only one double-digit price drop to be found anywhere in the charts. Even the smaller changes evened out, and there were about as many prices that went up, as have gone down since last week's edition.
