Intel Comments

Unfortunately, a pair of $5 decreases is all we have to report in the way of price drops on Intel processors. Worse, though, is the fact that last week's only significant Intel price drop has been reversed in this week's guide, with the tracked price of the 3.0 GHz Core 2 Extreme QX6850 going up by the same amount ($38) that it had fallen by in last week's guide.

General Comments

Unfortunately, lower CPU prices remain something of a rarity in this week's guide, and other than one notable drop in the AMD chart it was a remarkably stable week for processors, with the overwhelming majority of the prices we track holding right where they have been for weeks.
