Intel Comments
As in the AMD sections, only one of the processors we track in the Intel charts showed a price decrease. And while this meager $5 drop, coming in on the 3.0 GHz Core 2 Duo E8400, was of a slightly higher amount than we saw in the AMD charts, it was balanced out by the only other Intel price change: a $5 increase in the tracked price of its 65nm counterpart, the 3.0 GHz Core 2 Duo E6850.
General Comments
The AMD and Intel CPU prices we tracked in this week's guide held about as steady as we've seen in recent weeks, with only two processors showing any price drops at all (one from each camp) and none of these fell by enough to get very much attention.
