Intel Comments

The good news is that the Intel charts contain twice as many price drops as the AMD section of the guide, but the bad news is that translates into just two of them. There was a $5 drop in the tracked price of the 3.0 GHz Core 2 Duo E6850 and a $10 price cut to the 3.2 GHz Core 2 Extreme QX9770. At least there were no price increases, and the rest of the Intel chart remained stable.

General Comments

Unfortunately, the price stagnation that we've seen in recent guides has continued in this week's edition, with only a few of the tracked AMD and Intel processors dropping at all and none falling by very much. A lone double-digit price drop stands out, but even this was on a processor with a current retail price of over $1400.
