As in the AMD charts, the overwhelming majority of Intel processors we track show very consistent pricing, and there is no movement through most of the popular Core 2 models. But there was at least one exception, as the tracked price of the 3.0 GHz Core 2 Duo E6850 dropped by $15, while the only other notable price drop was a $9 cut to the 2.66 GHz Core i7 920.
Unfortunately, the Christmas Edition of our processor guide doesn't come with the gift of any plump CPU price drops. There was a slight bit of downward movement in the AMD and Intel charts, and hopefully, this guide will find our readers enjoying the holiday season nonetheless.
