Intel Comments

As in the AMD charts, most of the Intel prices we track held where they've been for weeks. Again, a couple of double-digit drops help keep things somewhat interesting. And while a $13 and an $11 drop on the i7 940 and 950, respectively, might not be particularly earth-shattering, especially when the resulting prices are still in the mid-$500's, they still come as welcome news to those of us trying to get the most bang for buck.

General Comments

While prices, on average, continued to hold steady, we did see a handful of price drops in this week's guide, mostly coming in on higher-end offerings from the two camps. Hopefully, this will prove to be the start some increased price competition and result in more downward price movement in the coming weeks.
