Intel Comments

While the overwhelming majority of the Intel prices we track held every bit as steady as their AMD counterparts, one double-digit drop did manage to sneak into the charts: a $14 drop in the tracked price of the i7 950, bringing it to its current price of $556.

General Comments

As we've seen all too often, recently, most of the prices we tracked in this week's guide held steady or fell by too little to take much notice of. A few modest price drops can be found, here and there; but unfortunately, they remain too much the exception and nowhere near the rule.
