This week's Intel chart contains five modest price drops, the biggest of which is a $10 drop in the tracked price of the Core 2 Quad Q8400. And while such slim cuts aren't likely to stir much excitement, it's good to see any downward trend to pricing.

General Comments

This final weekly CPU price guide of 2009 contains several price drops, something that's been all too rare in the past several weeks. And while none of the drops we have to report are huge, they nonetheless leave us hopeful that the coming weeks will see continued and increased price competition between the two camps and even better deals to be had by prospective CPU buyers.
