Intel Comments

Two of the Intel we prices we track fell in this week's guide, albeit by small amounts: the Core 2 Duo E7400, which dropped by $1, and the Core 2 Quad Q8200, which fell by $5. The biggest price change of the entire guide, however, was a $16 increase in the tracked price of the Core 2 Quad Q8400.

General Comments

The year's first CPU Price Guide, unfortunately, isn't any more exciting than what we'd grown accustomed to by the end of last year. A few prices moved slightly downward, which is nice. But by and large, prices held about as steady as we've seen them.
