Intel Comments
While not quite so devoid of price drops as the AMD section of the guide, this week's Intel chart was mostly stagnant for yet another week. Four of the prices we track did move slightly downwards, though, with the biggest being a $9 drop in the price of the Core i7 950, bringing it to its currently tracked price of $550.
General Comments
Our hopes of increased price compeition have, we're sorry to say, have continued to go unrealized. Price drops remain something of a rarity, with only a handful of the prices we track having dropped at all since last week's guide and a few even inching upwards.
