As noted in last week's pricing guide, vendors that were anticipating this week's price cuts had already begun lowering their prices then, trying to lure customers into buying a bit higher than the P4's would ultimately end up costing. As such, we don't see many huge drops this week, though the $81 drop on the retail version of the 2GHz P4 is nothing to scoff at. Despite this sizable drop and the smaller, but still significant, $32 drop on the OEM version of Intel's flagship processor (leaving this week's pricing on both within a few dollars of one another), however, it's still hard to recommend buying the 2GHz P4 when its 1.9GHz sibling costs about $114 less.
