This week's biggest decrease was a $26 drop on the retail version of the 2Ghz P4, leaving it at a new price of $439. But even if you look at its even cheaper sibling, the $395 OEM version of the processor, it's hard to get excited when it's still so much more expensive than the 1.9GHz P4, let alone the Athlon XP 1900+.
Don't be lured in by the price drops on Intel and AMD's current flagship processors, as new product introductions are expected soon from both. And while this won't immediately translate into lower prices on other processors, it does usually mean the old flagship processor will soon be dropping in price.
