Intel Comments
As with AMD processor pricing, much of the price drops we were expecting for the end of January ended up getting absorbed into the previous week's prices by vendors who knew they were coming. Despite this, however, we still see some sizable drops, including an $18 drop on the price of the retail 2GHz P4, a $24 drop on OEM 1.4GHz P4's, and a whopping $63 drop on 1.2GHz Tualatin P3 processors.
General Comments
While the expected price drops we were waiting on did end up being partly/mostly absorbed into the previous week's pricing, those who waited will still enjoy some additional price drops, particularly on higher-end Intel processors.
