While older Intel processors pretty much held steady in price, this week, we see some nice price drops on the fastest OEM P4 processors, including a $13 drop on the price of the OEM 1.8GHz P4 and a whopping $35 price drop on the OEM 2.2GHz Northwood P4, leaving it at its new price of $498.
This week's processor prices are mostly stagnant, with the exception of some unexpected price drops on some of the faster OEM P4 processors, including a $35 drop on OEM 2.2GHz P4 processors. But with Intel's flagship processor still costing more than twice as much the similarly performing 1.67GHz Athlon XP 2000+, you'll still pay premium to go with an Intel platform.
