This week, we see the removal of three entries and the addition of four. As a result of pricing data no longer being easily available, the 766MHz Celeron and both the OEM and retail 1.3GHz P4's were dropped from the chart. But since we just returned four Athlon MP entries to the AMD chart, four speeds of the the Intel P4 Xeon line have been added to this intel pricing chart.
As far as price changes go, we see little more action in this chart than in AMD pricing. The most notable drop is a $10 decrease on the price of the OEM 1.4GHz P4, which falls to $113. But just as notable is the $13 increase on the price of the OEM 1.8GHz P4, which now comes in at $175.
All in all, it's been a slow week for both AMD and Intel processor price changes. But such well-performing processors coming out of both camps, these days, and with some nice price drops just a few weeks behind us, this isn't a bad time to be looking at building a new high-end machine.
How about Intel and AMD prices on the same page? Here you have it, starting with high-end CPUs.
