Intel Comments
Most of the Intel processors in our chart held steady this week; but those looking for 2GHz Willamette P4's will be pleased to find a $24 and a $20 price drop on the OEM and retail versions of this processor, respectively. But with Northwood pricing not far above that, buyers might be more interested in the $14 drop on the retail 2GHz Northwood P4, which can now be found for $334... just $6 more than its OEM counterpart.
General Comments
Those looking to build high-end systems will find some price drops of interest in this week's guide, whether they're looking at building P4 or Athlon XP systems. Prices are far more stagnant on lower-end processors, though.
