Welcome to the Sharky Extreme Weekly CPU Prices. This is a weekly update on CPU prices we find around the net.

We have several different tables to help you find what you are looking for, sorted by manufacturer; (AMD or Intel) sorted by price; tables showing only high-end or low-end CPUs, all to make your research and subsequent buying decision a bit easier. Use our handy "jump to" feature at the bottom of each page to quickly get where you need to go.

Also please note that prices change daily, while our guide is only updated weekly; so you will need to get an updated price.

AMD Comments

Last week, we had only one notable drop in the AMD chart, but this week, pricing is more consistent with no significant drops at all. The new AMD flagship processor, the 2.2GHz Athlon 64 FX-51, debuts in our guide at the pseudo-prohibitive price of $765, while its only-slightly slower sibling, the 2.0GHz Athlon 64 3200+, checks in at $449, only $5 more than the now-outclassed Athlon XP 3200+. These CPU release will hopefully translate into price drops on existing Athlon XP processors in the very near future.
