This week's AMD chart is something of a rollercoaster, with a handful of huge drops, a bunch of modest price shifts, and a few where prices that have remained level. Those looking to buy an Athlon 64 processor may be pleasantly surprised by this week's prices. But with the Athlon 64 FX-55 and 4000+ debuting, and the end of October being a time when prices often fall, these drops aren't completely unexpected.
