Welcome to the Sharky Extreme Weekly CPU Prices. This is a weekly update on CPU prices we find around the net.

We have several different tables to help you find what you are looking for, sorted by manufacturer; (AMD or Intel) sorted by price; tables showing only high-end or low-end CPUs, all to make your research and subsequent buying decision a bit easier. Use our handy "jump to" feature at the bottom of each page to quickly get where you need to go.

This week's AMD price list definitely contains a few surprises, especially for those who have grown accustomed to the relatively stable CPU prices through 2005. With a number of significant drops, the largest of which is a whopping $214 cut to the price of the 2.2GHz Opteron 248, there will be plenty for bargain-hunters to get excited about. There were also significant price decreases at the Athlon 64 3700+ and 3800+ range, as well as large cuts throughout the Opteron line.
