Weekly CPU Prices - Week of August 1, 2005

Welcome to the Sharky Extreme Weekly CPU Prices. This is a weekly update on CPU prices we find around the net.

We have several different tables to help you find what you are looking for, sorted by manufacturer; (AMD or Intel) sorted by price; tables showing only high-end or low-end CPUs, all to make your research and subsequent buying decision a bit easier. Use our handy "jump to" feature at the bottom of each page to quickly get where you need to go.

Also please note that prices change daily, while our guide is only updated weekly; so you will need to get an updated price.

AMD Comments

There are a few diamonds in the rough, among the otherwise stagnant prices in this week's AMD chart. The largest is a $92 cut to the price of the Athlon 64 4000+, leaving it sitting at only $381. There were also some downward movement on the Athlon 64 3700+ and Athlon 64 X2 4600+ processors, both of which fell by $34. But while such drops are nice, they are far from the norm, and most of the other AMD processors either held right where they've been or even went up by a bit since last week's guide.
