Memory Pricing Guide |
Weekly Memory Prices - Week of September 30, 2002 - Page 2By Vangie Beal October 1, 2002We're starting October off right and while price changes are not in abundance this week, there are more price drops than increases. Staying in tune with September's prices, very few SDRAM prices are moving, but we do get an $8 price drop on PC133 ECC 512-MB (now at $58), and PC133 ECC 256-MB is down $5 to $34. On the rise this week is PC133 ECC 64-MB which is up $6 to $23. Mixed in with these changes we also have a couple $1 price drops as well, and as usual, PC150 prices remained unchanged. This week PC2100 and PC2400 prices didn't budge, and the only price shifts we see is on PC2700, which for the most part decreased compared to last week's levels. PC2700 256-MB is down $3 to $27, and PC2700 512-MB is at $115, which is a savings of $4. While RDRAM prices have remained quite steady for some time, nothing can beat this week's stability, and we don't have a single price change to report in this category. Overall memory prices are quite stable, showing only minor price fluctuations. While the ball isn't rolling in the consumer's court with some hefty price drops, we also don't have to worry about shelling out more in the face of rising prices. Until next week, happy upgrading and please remember that prices can change very quickly, so be sure to verify prices on the vendor's website before you buy.
We'd like to take this opportunity to assure you that SharkyExtreme has no affiliation with any vendor listed in our guide, but our memory price charts do take more than just the basic dollar amount into consideration. Here are just a few examples to highlight some of the many things we keep in mind when compiling a price guide - which may translate into the price you see in our guide being different than one you find:
Since we don't have a direct line to every vendor doing business online, so if you know of a company selling quality products at decent prices that isn't making our price guide, feel free to drop us a line with the vendors URL, so we can check them out as well! Feedback (of any kind) on the Weekly Memory Prices is always read and appreciated! Until next week - happy upgrading!
