Memory Pricing Guide |
Weekly Memory Prices - Week of November 25, 2002 - Page 2By Vangie Beal November 26, 2002This week brings about a few price drops mixed in with a couple of increases as well. On the rise this week is PC133 CAS3 256-MB up $5 to $33, and PC133 CAS3 128-MB which can be found for $20, and is up only a couple dollars from last week. Most of the PC100 modules are down by $2 and $3 this week, and PC133 CAS3 512-MB is down another $5 this week to rest at $54. Overall, SDRAM prices aren't moving too much in either direction. We are glad to see more price drops on DDR for the second week in a row. PC2100 512-MB is down $10 to $115 and PC2400 128-MB is down $8 at $49 this week. We also see some $6 and $7 price drops in this section as well, and thankfully, none of the DIMMs we list have gone up in price since last week's guide. While RIMM prices were down last week, this week we see only two drops - with these being of the $1 and $2 variety. While that may not be the best of news for those looking to upgrade, at least we don't have any price increases to contend with! Other than the two small price drops mentioned above, RDRAM prices remain unchanged. Overall prices aren't going down quite as much as they did last week, but aren't jumping up in price either. This week we only have three slight price increases listed with a fair number of smaller (but always welcome) price decreases. Hopefully if you held off another week before purchasing that memory upgrade you're able to save a few dollars. Until next week, happy upgrading and please remember to verify prices on the vendor's website should you decide now is the time to buy!
We'd like to take this opportunity to assure you that SharkyExtreme has no affiliation with any vendor listed in our guide, but our memory price charts do take more than just the basic dollar amount into consideration. Here are just a few examples to highlight some of the many things we keep in mind when compiling a price guide - which may translate into the price you see in our guide being different than one you find:
Since we don't have a direct line to every vendor doing business online, so if you know of a company selling quality products at decent prices that isn't making our price guide, feel free to drop us a line with the vendors URL, so we can check them out as well! Feedback (of any kind) on the Weekly Memory Prices is always read and appreciated! Until next week - happy upgrading!
