Memory Pricing Guide |
Memory Prices - Week of May 24, 2004 - Page 2By Vangie Beal May 24, 2004SDRAMThis week's SDRAM prices have played out and remain unchanged in price except for PC133 ECC 512-MB which went down $3 to $86. Combined with the $6 savings on this memory in our last guide, we're seeing a nice overall decline on PC133 ECC 512-MB. Across the board this week we see that most DDR SDRAM price fluctuations are smaller $1 to $3 drops. Mixed in is a $4 increase on PC3500 512-MB which is now at $95. Those looking for PC4200 512-MB will be pleasantly surprised at the $7 price drop we found, bringing this module down to $178. Following suit with the rest of our guide, RDRAM prices remain stable for the week. The only price change we see here is a $4 price drop on PC800 512-MB, which can be had for $189. After our last guide and its slight price fluctuations, we see the trend continue once again this week with only a few small price drops. Depending on your upgrade needs you may find yourself having to either shell out a couple of dollars extra or being able to save up to $7. While those savings may seem small indeed, don't forget to check out the vendor websites and see if you can nab a good shipping deal, which may amount to a greater dollar savings than this week's memory prices can offer.
We'd like to take this opportunity to assure you that SharkyExtreme has no affiliation with any vendor listed in our guide, but our memory price charts do take more than just the basic dollar amount into consideration. Here are just a few examples to highlight some of the many things we keep in mind when compiling a price guide - which may translate into the price you see in our guide being different than one you find:
Since we don't have a direct line to every vendor doing business online, so if you know of a company selling quality products at decent prices that isn't making our price guide, feel free to drop us a line with the vendors URL, so we can check them out as well! Feedback (of any kind) on the Weekly Memory Prices is always read and appreciated! Until next week - happy upgrading!
