NVIDIA-Based Video Cards

The NVIDIA-based video card market is a bit more splintered than the ATI one, and we still have the GeForce FX and GeForce4 cards available at street level, and really competing at the entry-level and mainstream sectors. Naturally, the GeForce FX line receives a greater number of listings, and especially as we move to the very popular GeForce FX 5700 Ultra and 5900/5950 Ultra levels. NVIDIA gets the same overall coverage as the ATI list, starting at the GeForce4 MX440-8X and ending with the GeForce FX 5950 Ultra 256-MB cards. But just like ATI, there are some NVIDIA cards that are becoming increasingly hard to locate, and we've adjusted our list accordingly.

The NVIDIA-based video card list shows fewer price fluctuations that the ATI side, but we're still looking at lower prices through most of the line. ASUS cards received the largest cuts, including a $17 decrease to their GeForce4 Ti 4800SE 128-MB VIVO and a whopping $72 drop on the ASUS GeForce FX 5950 Ultra 256-MB.
